Quarterly Water Heater Giveaway Rules

2. Giveaway Periods

The giveaway runs quarterly. The periods are:

• Quarter 1: January 1 to March 31
• Quarter 2: April 1 to June 30
• Quarter 3: July 1 to September 30
• Quarter 4: October 1 to December 31

One winner is drawn for each quarter.

3. Eligibility

The giveaway is open to legal residents age 18 or older who live in Allied's service area. The service area is Washington County, Arkansas; Benton County, Arkansas; and Northeast Oklahoma.

The following people cannot enter:

• Allied employees and their immediate family and household members
• Allied's contractors and suppliers and their immediate family and household members

4. How to Enter

Automatic entry. A customer is automatically entered when all of the following are true:

• Allied supplies and installs a new water heater at the customer's home during the quarter.
• The home is a residence.
• The invoice is paid in full by the last day of the quarter.

When a customer supplies their own water heater, the install is not automatically entered. That customer may still enter free by mail.

Free entry by mail. To enter without a purchase:

• Mail your name, address, phone number, and email address to: Allied Quarterly Giveaway, 918 W Henri De Tonti Blvd, Springdale, AR 72762.
• Your entry must be postmarked by the last day of the quarter and received within 5 business days after the quarter ends.
• Send one entry per envelope. Mechanically reproduced entries are not accepted.

Entry limits. Each household gets one entry per quarter, however it enters. Entries do not carry over to future quarters.

5. Definitions

A "Standard Water Heater" is a regular-height 40- or 50-gallon residential tank water heater that runs on natural gas or electricity.

Any other unit is a "Non-Standard Water Heater." This includes propane, short, lowboy, tankless, heat pump, commercial, and oversized units.

"Standard Installation" means removing the existing water heater and installing the new one in the same location using the existing connections. It does not include any of the work listed in Section 7.

6. Prizes

Purchasing winner. The purchasing winner's water heater has already been installed during the quarter. Their prize is a reimbursement, not a new installation.

Standard Water Heater: Allied reimburses its regular price for that water heater with Standard Installation. Any discounts, coupons, or promotional pricing the winner received are subtracted from the reimbursement.

Non-Standard Water Heater: The reimbursement is capped at Allied's regular price for a standard 50-gallon electric water heater with Standard Installation. Any discounts the winner received are subtracted.

The reimbursement is issued within 30 days after Allied confirms the winner. If the winner paid by credit or debit card, Allied may refund it to that card. Otherwise, it is paid by check.

Free-entry winner. The winner receives a Standard Water Heater with Standard Installation. It will match the fuel type the home already uses, either natural gas or electric. The following conditions apply:

• The winner must own the home and live in it. Proof of ownership is required.
• The installation must be scheduled and completed within 1 month after the winner is notified.
• If the home requires a Non-Standard Water Heater, Allied applies the value of a standard 50-gallon electric water heater with Standard Installation toward it. The winner pays the difference.
• If the installation is not completed within that month for reasons outside Allied's control, the prize is forfeited.

Approximate retail value. Each quarterly prize is worth up to approximately $2,100.

Transfer and substitution. Prizes cannot be transferred and have no cash alternative, except as described above. Allied may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

7. Work Not Included

The prize does not cover work beyond Standard Installation. Allied will not reimburse purchasing winners for this work, and free-entry winners do not receive it at no charge. This includes:

• code upgrades
• permits
• electrical work
• gas line work
• plumbing modifications
• venting changes
• expansion tanks, drain pans, and stands
• service calls

If a free-entry winner's home needs any of this work, it is billed at Allied's regular rates if the winner chooses to proceed.

8. Payment Requirements

A purchasing winner's invoice must be paid in full at the time of the drawing and when the reimbursement is issued. The prize is forfeited if any of the following happens:

• the payment is refunded, charged back, or disputed
• the job is canceled
• the account is past due

9. Winner Selection and Odds

Allied selects one winner at random from all eligible entries within 10 business days after each quarter ends. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received that quarter.

10. Winner Notification

Allied will contact the winner by phone and/or email. The winner must respond within 7 days.

Within 14 days of notification, the winner must also return:

• an affidavit of eligibility
• a liability and publicity release
• an IRS Form W-9

If the winner does not respond, cannot be reached, does not return these forms, or is found ineligible, the prize is forfeited. Allied may then draw an alternate winner.

11. Taxes

The winner is responsible for all taxes on the prize. Allied will issue an IRS Form 1099 for any prize valued at $600 or more.

12. Publicity

By accepting a prize, the winner agrees that Allied may use the following in advertising and marketing:

• the winner's name, city, and likeness
• photos and video of the installation

Allied may use these in any media, including its website and social media, without further notice or payment, except where prohibited by law.

13. Warranty

Winning does not change the manufacturer's warranty or Allied's workmanship warranty on the installation.

14. Release

By entering, participants release Allied and its employees and agents from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the giveaway or from accepting or using a prize. This release does not affect Allied's warranty obligations.

15. General Conditions

Allied may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules.

Allied may modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if fraud, technical problems, or other causes beyond its control affect it.

Allied's decisions are final.

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas.

16. Privacy

Entry information is used only to run this giveaway and as described in Allied's privacy policy.

17. Winners List

To get the name of a quarter's winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the address in Section 4 within 60 days after that quarter's drawing.
